Camping Sites

Three camp sites. Hidden from view is the lawn which is between the tables and river.

Southfork has 22 camping sites. Seven have electrical service (sites 1, 2, 3, 4, 6A, and 6B). The other 15 sites are "primitive" sites, that is, they have no water, electric, or sewer connections. Each has a metal campfire ring with a grill, and a wood picnic table. The sites are mostly grass covered. The soil is a mixture of sand, light clay, and fine riverbed gravel. There are no rocks in the camp sites. The river is plainly visible from all camp sites. Firewood is available at the store. Southfork camp sites are unusually large, typically two to three times as large as commonly found elsewhere. When all camp sites are full, and people keep coming, Southfork allows them to primitive camp on numerous bare ground spots about the property. These extra spots have no picnic tables or campfire rings.

Almost all of the camping sites are under oak and hickory trees.

Seven camping sites have electrical service, 6 of which are 30 amp service, 1 is 50 amp service.
